Research and design for the physical protection
of people, systems and the built environment

Protection Engineering Consultants provides research, design and consulting services to enhance the physical protection of people, systems and the built environment. Working with government agencies, the design community and industry, we bring expertise in multi-hazard assessment and protective design to mitigate blast, ballistic and vehicular impact attacks and accidents. Through the application of established and novel scientific methodologies as well as government and industry best practices, we help our clients maximize the physical security of plant, property and people while preserving utility and aesthetics.

Our principal consultants each have spent more than 20 years in applied research and design, with expertise extending from blast and ballistics research to protective design for the built environment, systems and personnel. We employ a variety of tools, including industry-leading software applications our principals helped to develop. Our experience includes work for federal government agencies, architectural and construction firms, and a variety of industrial and commercial clients.
