STRUCTURE magazine to feature cover article by Protection Engineering Consultants principals
Dripping Springs, Texas, Feb. 22 -- An article co-authored by PEC principals Kirk Marchand and Dr. David Stevens will appear as the lead article in the April 2006 issue of STRUCTURE magazine.
"A Review and Update on Department of Defense Progressive Collapse Guidance: UFC 4-023-03, 'Design of Buildings to Resist Progressive Collapse,'" provides an overview of the development of the new DoD progressive collapse guidance and highlights areas of future development. Marchand, managing principal of Protection Engineering Consultants, and Stevens, senior principal, co-authored the article with Tim Campbell of the US Army Corps of Engineers and Brian Crowder of NAVFAC.
STRUCTURE is a joint publication of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA), the American Society of Civil Engineers' Structural Engineering Institute (SEI), and the Council of American Structural Engineers (CASE).
