Dripping Springs, Texas, April 18 -- A review of U.S. Department of Defense progressive collapse guidelines, co-authored by PEC principals Kirk Marchand and Dr. David Stevens, appears in the April 2006 issue of STRUCTURE magazine.

"UFC 4-023-03: Design of Buildings to Resist Progressive Collapse -- A Review and Update on Department of Defense Progressive Collapse Guidance" provides an overview of the development of the new DoD progressive collapse guidance and highlights areas of future development. Marchand, managing principal of Protection Engineering Consultants, and Stevens, senior principal, co-authored the article with Tim Campbell of the US Army Corps of Engineers and Brian Crowder of NAVFAC.
