completes work in support of Walter Reed Hospital
facilities additions and enhancements
Austin, Texas, May 20 -- Protection Engineering Consultants has completed work in support of HKS Architects of Dallas, Texas, for blast design and force protection services for $80,000,000 of new facilities under construction at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Complex (WRNMMC).
Protection Engineering Consultants conducted site setback analysis and blast analysis where conventional construction standoff distances were not satisfied. PEC also prepared assessments that addressed all requirements and aspects of the 22 standards of UFC 4-010-01, "Minimum Anti-Terrorism Standards for Buildings."
