Carrie E. Davis, Associate Engineer

Carrie DavisCarrie Davis performs blast-resistant analysis, design and testing for a variety of projects at Protection Engineering Consultants.

Carrie's recent work includes assessment of polymer reinforced masonry walls exposed to blast loads. She was instrumental in coordinating PEC efforts in the development of a static test capability for glass at the Austin office, and she has supervised blast tests of retrofitted glass assemblies in cooperation with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). Glass static and blast test results for monolithic and retrofitted glass have supported development of a glass response model soon to be incorporated into the SBEDS software.

Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Her research and thesis at UT focused on the development of blast-resistant design and detailing guidelines for reinforced concrete bridge columns.
