Lawrence J. Nelson, Associate Engineer

L.J. NelsonL.J. Nelson joined Protection Engineering Consultants as an Associate Engineer after completing his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and serving as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. In Iraq, L.J. supported base security operations and assisted in the training of Iraqi security forces. At Protection Engineering Consultants, he has coordinated activities in support of an overseas facility security upgrade project for a customer in Kabul, Afghanistan. He also supports blast design for US DoD facility upgrades and research activities for the development of frangible window systems for blast loads. L.J. is pursuing a master’s degree in structural engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
