Patricia K. Bowles, Staff Scientist

Patricia BowlesWith more than 30 years of expertise in blast and fragment hazards prediction and analysis, Trish Bowles joined Protection Engineering Consultants in October 2008.

She began her career in 1977 at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI), followed by eight years at the Advanced Technology Office for Applied Research Associates, Inc. Trish has managed numerous projects in the area of blast and fragment hazards prediction for explosives safety studies and hazards analyses, including the development of the DISPRE model, the expanded DISPRE2 model, and the ESAS model. In addition, she has developed a fragment penetration model for soft targets, conducted impact tests for the design of vehicle armors, and developed a mobile, lightweight doorway barrier to prevent enemy access or egress.
