David Stevens, Managing Principal at PEC, recently advanced to Fellow status as recognized by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Structural Engineering Institute (SEI). He will be recognized as a member of the 2018 SEI Fellows during the Closing Plenary Lunch on April 21, 2018, at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas during the upcoming 2018 Structures Congress.
ASCE|SEI Fellows consist of engineers who have made celebrated contributions and developed creative solutions that change lives around the world. It is a prestigious honor held by only 3% of ASCE members. This prestigious honor is a testament to David’s extensive work supporting ASCE|SEI through technical committees, particularly the Disproportionate Collapse Technical Committee (previous chair), the Disproportionate Collapse Standards committee and the Blast, Shock and Impact Committee. He has contributed to these committees through leadership and participation and is continuing to contribute by leading the Alternative Load Path Analysis (ALPA) Guidelines development (draft, estimated completion in 2019) and the creation of the Disproportionate Collapse Design Standard (draft, estimated completion in 2019).
PEC extends our sincere congratulations to David and truly appreciates his hard work and leadership both within PEC and through industry organizations like ASCE and SEI.
