Jose A. Rullan-Rodriguez, P.E. joined Protection Engineering Consultants as a Sr. Associate Engineer in March 2016.
Jose holds B.S. and M.E. degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. He began his career in 2009 as a Research Civil Engineer for the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC).
Jose has conducted research on blast effects and structural response of dams, spillways and navigation lock components, by employing scale modeling and testing, as well as finite element analyses. His project work includes the development of component-level vulnerability assessment software for dams, testing and validation of spillway gates for ATFP applications, and forensic engineering assessments for the post-Typhoon Haiyan disaster in the Philippines.
Jose will be supporting PEC and our clients on both research and design efforts.
