Chase Perry, P.E.

Chase Perry joined Protection Engineering Consultants (PEC) as a Staff Engineer in October 2023. Before joining PEC, Chase spent 10 years working as a bridge engineering consultant. Chase has experience in a variety of bridge engineering areas including design, rehabilitation, load rating, and inspection with a specialization in structural analysis work. During his career, he has gained experience with analysis of curved-steel, cable-supported, post-tensioned, segmental, and tied-arch bridges and has developed novel design and analysis tools for bridge projects using computational and finite element software. Chase completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in civil engineering at Purdue University with a emphasis on structural engineering and later attended the Colorado School of Mines, where he completed a post graduate certificate program in Finite Element Analysis including courses in dynamics, nonlinear analysis, and design applications. Chase is proficient with computational tools (Python) and applied statistics as well as a variety of analysis tools (SAP2000, CSiBridge, Abaqus, LSDyna, OpenSees, Larsa). Chase will be supporting PEC and our clients on applied research and machine learning efforts.
