Ryan joined PEC in November 2019. He supports conventional and protective design projects involving structures and building façade systems that carry challenging design requirements related to natural hazards and security threats. Ryan also supports applied research efforts related to structural system design, machine learning, data science, fast-running model creation, and advanced numerical modeling and simulation. He is proficient in Python and related scientific computing packages.
Ryan is a US Navy Veteran, having served as an Electrician’s Mate aboard an Ohio Class Submarine, supporting nuclear operations, preventative maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Arkansas with a focus on Structural Systems.
